Michael Chiesa defeated Al Iaquinta by rear naked choke in the very first round to become the season fifteen ultimate fighter winner, but the long road was not an easy one by any means for the native of Spokane Washington. During the taping of the Ultimate Fighter live Chiesa received a phone call and was informed by his mother that his father had passed away from cancer the very same night that Chiesa had won his first fight to get into the house. His mother told him that his father was alive while he fought and was able to see his son victorious before he ha passed away. Chiesa got into the house with a submission victory over Johnavan Vistante and then went on to beat Jeremy Larsen, Justin Lawrence and James Vick to get into the ultimate fighter finale where he choked Al Iaquinta unconscious when he refused to tap. Through all of the up's and downs Micheal Chiesa pushed through the pain to become the season 15 Ultimate Fighter winner.

Jon Fitch out of fight with Simpson
UFC welterweight Jon Fitch has reportedly had to pull out of his July 11th fight against fellow wrestler Aaron Simpson. In his last appearance in the octagon Fitch lost a devastating 12 second knockout loss to the hands of Johny Hendricks at UFC 141. This marks the second time that Fitch has had to be pulled from a fight as of recent. In a much anticipated rematch against BJ Penn, Fitch found out that he needed to have shoulder surgery and had to be pulled from the UFC 132 card, the surgery forced Fitch out of the octagon for 10 months, It is not known as of now who will step in for Fitch to fight Aaron Simpson as the A-train makes his Welterweight debut after dropping down from 185 pounds. The fight takes place at UFC on Fuel TV Munoz vs. Weidman on July 11 in San Jose, California.
